Maria Simioli brings more than 20 years of claims management experience, with expertise in employment practices liability, directors and officers liability, errors and omissions, financial institutions, fiduciary liability, and crime/fidelity claims. Prior to joining ClaimsFirst, she served as a Senior Executive Claims Specialist at Fortegra, where she managed high-severity and litigated claims from initial notice through final resolution. In this role, she worked with underwriters, brokers, insureds, and defense counsel on claims strategy and resolution.
Earlier in her career, Ms. Simioli held senior claims positions with AXA XL, CNA, Chubb, QBE Insurance Company, and AIG, handling complex claims across multiple lines of business. Her experience includes claims evaluation, coverage analysis, litigation management, and resolution of complex matters.
Before beginning her career in claims, Ms. Simioli was an educator, an experience that continues to inform her approach to communication, collaboration, and problem-solving in the claims field.
Ms. Simioli earned her Bachelor of Arts from the City University of New York and is a licensed insurance adjuster in New York and Texas.
